1995 – Began as Three Rivers Health Plans, Inc.
April 1996 – Gained first member in Pennsylvania
1999 – Restructuring allows for expansion to other states
2007 – Unison Health Plan of Pennsylvania, Inc. MedPLUS Plan earned “Excellent” rating from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), and a “Commendable” rating for the Unison Health Plan of Tennessee, Inc. Medicaid HMO Plan
November 2007 – Four Senior Choice Gold Awards earned for Excellence in Harrisburg and Allentown- Lehigh Valley, PA Advantage Preferred Plans, and in Pittsburgh, PA and Memphis, TN for Advantage Choice Plans
2008 – Unison Health Plan of South Carolina, Inc. Medicaid HMO earns the New Health Plan Accreditation from NCQA
March 2007 – Awarded Delaware contract
May 2008 – Awarded Washington, DC contract
April 2008 – Unison serves six states with more than 380,000 members and approximately 32,000 providers and pharmacie.
June 2008 – Unison acquired by AmeriChoice, a UnitedHealth Group company. Combined, Unison and AmeriChoice serve more than two million people in 21 states
