Legal Affairs and Compliance
The experience of Unison’s Legal Affairs, Compliance, and Audit teams are an integral part of our commitment to quality and member satisfaction. We view these units of the organization as not only necessary to resolve issues, but an opportunity to continually improve service to our members, providers, vendors, and state and federal agencies.
Issues of non-compliance can be encountered by every element of our organization. Unison’s Compliance Department relies on all team members to recognize possible misconduct at their level of experience and ensure that proper reporting procedures are followed.
The Lock-In Program that is managed by the audit unit has led to dramatic savings for Unison as Unison continually looks for new ways to raise awareness of the Lock-In Program and further educate our providers, members, and fellow team members about the signs of suspicious medical or pharmacy benefit abuse, we will pass along the increased cost savings to the programs in which we participate.
